People call me Fresh. That’s because my name is Fresia but many have a hard time remembering how to pronounce it properly. And that’s totally okay with me, I love how unique my name is.
I decided to create this blog a couple of years ago because I couldn’t find anyone that could relate to my fitness goals, to my running goals. I am a runner, not the best, not the fastest, but I am a runner at heart. I just love the sport, what it does not only to my body but what it does to my soul. I connect to so many things through running, it has truly helped me see the light through difficult, dark times. So obviously most of my posts are about running, and the number one sport I practice is running.
But lately I have also been rather interested in building a leaner body. Most runners are known for having great legs but… that’s about it. I want to have more lean muscle, stronger muscle and so this blog will also reflect my journey to that goal.
Something else that I would love to blog about is a bit of my personal life. I always try to keep my personal life out of the spotlight because well, most fitness bloggers want to just read about fitness, but man OH man, personal lives (especially with girls) affect so many areas of our fitness it’s insane. From emotional eating to not feeling like getting up to go for a run because you spent the night crying… yeah, I would know. I’ve been dealing with a lot lately and I am also on a journey to just finding more freedom in what I do. So I guess this is also a way to encourage myself (and you!) to find more joy in everything I do.
Other than running, I love dancing, reading, spending time with my sister, writing, meditating about life. I am an idealist and a dreamer at heart. I dislike the party scene and everything that has to do with it, like drinking and smoking.
I find pleasure in simplicity. I have the hope that there is a Creator who takes care of every little part of my life, and therefore I do not only live for myself but for Him as well. I believe that valuable relationships start when you give yourself the chance to open up about who you are and what you like. So here it is, this is me:)
